1.) Well respected website, People's Press .org in their article, "America's Global Role, U.S, Superpower Status", notes that their is major debate within the United States on if we participate too much or too little with global issues. They develop their claim by first comparing the citizens opinions on this issues and if they agree or disagree, then they define the ways the United States apply efforts to solve global problems, and finally in contrast explain why and how the United States should deal with their own problems. People's Press's purpose is to describe both sides of the argument in order to inform and allow people to create their own opinions. They create a clinical tone for the modern people in today's society.
2.) Very widely known, James M. Lindsay in his article, "U.S. Should Mind its Own Business", argues that the United States does too much to please and is always the first to get involved into global issues. He supports his claim by first illustrating the exponential growth of citizens that believe it should occur within our country, then illustrating the issues that arose due to prior presidents getting involved in problems, and finally relating it to the tragic event of 9/11 and how it would have been preventable if the U.S. wouldn't have gotten involved. Lindsay's purpose is to persuade citizens of the U.S. that we need to withdrawal and hold back from many of the global wide issues occurring throughout. He creates a condemnatory tone for the U.S. citizens that have concerns and doubts about our future within the global world.
3.) The popular CEO, James McBride in his article, "Public Opinion on Global Issues", notes that within his study on the opinions of U.S. citizens on the involvement of global issues shows that the people believe the U.S. needs to be more engaged in trying to improve them. He supports his claim by first naming all of the issues that occur globally and effect the United States, then compares the amount of people who want to get involved and the others who do not, then finally he communicates ways that people can get involved. McBride's purpose is to persuade citizens of the United States in order to heighten and increase the amount of involvement. He establishes an instructive tone for the concerned people within the United States.
4.) The very reliable website, Global Issues .org in their article, "Global Issues that Effect All of Us", notes all of the different global issues that take place within the world and how we can improve them. They develop their claim by first listing not all, but many of the current issues taking place, then they describe how and why they occur within societies, and finally illustrates ways the United States can get involved and help other countries turn the issues around. Global Issue's purpose is to inform and people of the problems taking place around them and what can take place, so it can change. They create a learned tone for all the people it concerns.
